# Introducing the Searchable ChatGPT Connector: Track Your Brand in AI Answers From Inside ChatGPT

For most teams, ChatGPT is already where a lot of the work happens.

It is where the strategy doc gets drafted, the competitor gets researched, the launch angle gets stress-tested, and the "how are we doing?" question gets asked before anyone opens a dashboard.

The problem, until now, has been that ChatGPT does not actually know how you are doing. It can tell you what it thinks of your brand from its training data, and it can browse the open web, but it cannot see your visibility score, your share of voice, your citations, or which pages AI crawlers are fetching from your site.

Today we are changing that.

The **Searchable ChatGPT connector** brings your Searchable data directly into ChatGPT. Ask ChatGPT how your brand is showing up in AI answers and it returns a real answer, grounded in your Searchable project.

## What the Connector Is

The Searchable ChatGPT connector is an official integration that lets ChatGPT read from your Searchable project on demand.

Once it is installed, ChatGPT can pull the same signals you already see inside Searchable and use them to answer questions in the flow of a normal chat:

- **Visibility score** across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, and how it is moving over time
- **Share of voice** against the competitors you actually care about, not a generic list
- **Sentiment** of what AI models say about you (positive, neutral, or negative) and what that language looks like
- **Citations**: which websites AI models cite most when answering questions in your category
- **AI crawler activity**: which of your pages GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and friends are actually fetching and re-fetching
- **Prioritized opportunities**: where to focus next to improve how you show up

Because Searchable also reads your connected [Google Analytics 4](https://www.searchable.com/blog/introducing-ai-traffic) and Search Console data, the connector can go one step further: it can compare your AI-answer visibility against your organic search and referral traffic in the same response, and generate a shareable report of the findings.

It is the same data your team already trusts inside Searchable, just available in the tool most people are already using to think out loud.

The connector also comes with the full capabilities of our [MCP 2.0](https://www.searchable.com/features/mcp) server. That is the same toolset we already expose to Claude, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible assistants: visibility, share of voice, sentiment, citations, crawler activity, prioritized opportunities, connected GA4 and Search Console, and the rest of the Searchable read surface. Installing the connector in ChatGPT does not give you a thinner ChatGPT-only slice. It gives you the whole MCP 2.0 toolset in the conversation you are already having.

## Questions Worth Asking in ChatGPT

The point of the connector is not to move your dashboard into ChatGPT. It is to let you get a straight, data-backed answer to the questions you already ask in ChatGPT anyway.

For example, you could ask:

### "How visible is my brand in AI answers compared to my competitors?"

ChatGPT pulls your visibility score and share of voice across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, compares you against the competitors on your Searchable project, and gives you a written answer, with the underlying numbers, instead of a vague vibe check.

### "Which websites do AI models cite most when answering questions about my industry?"

Instead of guessing which publications, review sites, or communities are shaping AI answers in your category, you get the actual ranked list of sources that models keep pulling from: the surfaces you probably want to earn coverage or presence on.

### "What are AI models saying about my brand, and is the sentiment positive or negative?"

The connector returns the sentiment breakdown across models, along with representative language. You can immediately see whether the story AI is telling about you is on-message, off-message, or being framed by a competitor.

### "How does our AI visibility compare to our organic search and referral traffic?"

Because Searchable reads your connected GA4 and Search Console data, ChatGPT can put AI-answer visibility next to organic search performance and AI-referred sessions, so you can talk about AI search as a channel, not a curiosity.

### "Where should we focus next to improve how we show up in AI answers?"

ChatGPT can pull the prioritized opportunities from your Searchable project (the pages worth improving, the topics worth covering, the citations worth chasing) and turn them into a plan you can act on in the same conversation.

## Why We Built This

Most of the value in Searchable is in the answers, not the charts.

Watching how teams used Searchable and how they used ChatGPT, the split was obvious. Searchable was where the ground truth lived: the visibility scores, the share of voice, the citations, the crawler logs. ChatGPT was where people actually did their thinking. And in between the two, someone was usually copying a number from a dashboard into a chat window so they could get a real answer out of it.

We built the ChatGPT connector to remove that copy-paste step. If ChatGPT is where teams already ask "how are we doing in AI search?", it should be able to answer that question with real data, not a guess. And if a decision is going to get made inside ChatGPT (which competitor to counter, which page to fix, which topic to own), it should be made against the same numbers the rest of the team is looking at in Searchable.

That is what the connector is for. It turns ChatGPT into a place teams can actually answer strategic questions about their AI visibility, not just talk about them.

## How to Get Started

The Searchable ChatGPT connector is live today.

Once it is installed, connect your Searchable project and try one of the questions above in a normal ChatGPT window:

- _"How visible is my brand in AI answers compared to my competitors?"_
- _"Which websites do AI models cite most when answering questions about my industry?"_
- _"What are AI models saying about my brand, and is the sentiment positive or negative?"_

You will get an answer grounded in your Searchable data, with the numbers to back it up, right where you were already doing the work.
