Co-Founder & AEO Expert at Searchable

Sam is a co-founder of Searchable, where they lead product and design.

Their focus is building tools that answer a question most businesses can't: How does AI see my brand?

The Problem They're Solving

When users ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google's AI Overviews about a topic, the response isn't pulled from a simple index. It's synthesized from hundreds of sources, weighted by factors that are largely invisible to the brands being cited (or ignored).

Sam builds the infrastructure that makes this visible. Searchable tracks how AI models represent brands across the major answer engines, surfaces the gaps, and provides a clear path to improving citation quality.

Before Searchable, Sam was a Founding Engineer at Origami Agents, a Y Combinator (F24) company building AI agent infrastructure. That role put them at the intersection of AI product development and the emerging challenge of AI discoverability.

The problem was straightforward: how do you get a brand new product visible to AI search tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity? Traditional SEO wasn't built for this. So Sam started experimenting with structured data, content architecture, and crawl optimization specifically designed for LLMs.

They documented the results:

"On April 14th, I built a custom setup for origamiagents.com. Zero visitors from ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews. By April 24th, we had traffic from all three."

That 10-day experiment became the foundation of Searchable's AEO methodology. The techniques they developed at Origami now power the Site Auditor and visibility tracking that Searchable provides to its users.

Designing for Clarity

The data inside Searchable can fundamentally change how a business approaches its online presence. Visibility scores, citation gaps, crawl issues, competitor positioning. This is high-stakes information.

Sam's role is making that data accessible to people who aren't technical. A marketing lead should be able to open Searchable and immediately understand what's working, what's broken, and what to do next. No jargon. No dashboards that require a manual.

That means careful interface design:

  • AI Visibility Dashboard — Real-time tracking of how brands appear across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini, presented in a way that anyone can read
  • Site Auditor — Technical crawl analysis translated into plain-language recommendations with clear priority
  • Actions — A workflow system that turns complex AI search insights into simple, trackable tasks that teams can actually execute
  • MCP Integrations — For technical users, bringing Searchable data directly into Cursor, Claude Code, and other AI tools

The goal is always the same: take something that could overwhelm a user and make it feel obvious.
